In Burke, North Carolina, (close to where I live in Greenville, SC), there is a supernatural phenomenon of lights that appears. For years these ghostly lights have been appearing at dusk, rising from the summit of the low-lying ridge of Brown Mountain. My mother and several other members of my family have seen them. My mom describes them as "bigger than a baseball but smaller than a basketball." She also says they have slight color variations, for instance some are more yellow and some are more pink. I have seen many strange things in this area but I have yet to see the Brown Mountain Lights. The lights however do not only appear around Brown Mountain, they appear throughout the Blue Ridge area. I have a few friends who prefer the darker side of life. They seem to believe that these "lights" are in fact evil spirits or demons. I have no reason to disbelieve them since they basically worship Satan. They have seen these lights up close after invoking them (I'm guessing by sacrifice).

At any rate, I will be going to various "hot spots" with my camera. I will also be going to Devil's Castle, an abandoned house located near Paris Mountain that is said to have been a hospital for the criminally insane at one time. There have been reports of ghost like figures running and lights flickering on and off up near the building. I've been by here before, but this time, I'm going in.

There is quite a lot of satanic activity around my area, so I'm not surprised that there are strange things going on. As I've said before I've seen quite a few spooky things myself. This time I want to capture something on film.

NC Hwy 181, about six miles below the Blue Ridge Parkway on the road to Morganton.
Wiseman's View on NC Hwy 105, just off the Parkway near Linville Falls.
Lost Cove Overlook on the parkway, not far from Grandfather Mountain.
